Bicycle Air Horn – An Impressively Loud Bike Air Horn

Bicycles are vehicles, too! If anyone on the road has forgotten this fact, the Dealt Airzound Bicycle Horn will surely remind them. The Delta Airzound bike horn secures tightly to any handlebar and when triggered releases a 115dB blare. Lets put that in real word terms to make it sink in.

Considering a car horn is, on average, 110dB and a jet engine is 120dB, Delta Airzound ensures a cyclist’s safety on the road. Best of all, no batteries or additional parts are required; the air reservoir can be quickly refilled by any bicycle pump. In 2005 alone, 784 American cyclists died and an additional 500,000+ were injured while riding. A proper horn can prevent accidents. Most of these accidents, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission were caused by other motorists. From these statistics, it is clear a bike bell is not enough as the dinky noise cannot be heard by motorists.

One cyclist commuter explained, “the horn is inconspicuous on my handlebars and is exactly what I need to get the attention of the driver pulling into my lane with their windows closed and radio blaring!” Delta Cycle has been developing practical cycling products for more than two decades and this product exemplifies the superior quality Delta requires of its products while safeguarding cyclists from everyday dangers.

Customer reviews are a great way to research a product and find out if it truly delivers. Here are a few reviews from owners of the Delta Airzound Bike Horn.

I had a little difficulty finding a place to mount it on my Catrike recumbent tricycle and ended up mounting it on my left steering column and installing the bottle in my water bottle holder. Mounting it to a bicycle should be easy. The horn is loud (but adjustable for volume). I use the horn about every time out either to let kids know I’m coming if they are playing out in the road, scare dogs off, and let people in cars know I’m coming if they start to pull out from a stopsign or back out in the road from their driveway.

Saved my butt twice today. Two little blasts are great for getting anyone’s attention, even the lady in the minivan on the cell phone, with her screaming kids in the back. Two little blasts woke her right up and saved me a very sticky maneuver on a rainy day. I use it preemptively when rounding blind corners and have found that two little toots are a great “un obnoxious” way to alert drivers and others.
